Decision-making enablement with simplicity and timeliness
This led to further interrogation of their sales data. Leveraging their existing sales funnel, the company discovered that repeat-purchase customers are more than 12x more likely to make a 3rd purchase than what single-purchase customers are to make a second purchase. This informed their offer strategy, and they shifted budget towards single-purchase customers, and saw a 4x increase in repeat purchases YoY.
Automating processes driving operational efficiency
The creation of the data pipeline combined with the process mapping capability enabled the business to track key metrics in their processes on a weekly basis, which supported the continuous improvement activities. The success of this data pipeline creation paved the way for Operations Excellence to leverage this approach for other processes.
Practical recommendations to optimise advisor productivity
The development of the client-value tool could be expanded to include greater functionality whilst remaining intuitive and easy-to-use. Establishing best practice data management for our facilities partner
We are working with the leadership team to ensure they have the right data at their disposal to make the right decisions pertaining to stadium development and ongoing management. This includes continued optimisation of the data pipeline for internal and external data. In addition to this, we are also rolling-out data literacy workshops to new team members, to ensure a data-driven culture is fostered as our partner grows.

Issue #3: October 2024 Newsletter
Another quarter has come and gone, and as a mid-October newsletter would indicate, we are only just coming up for air. It was a quarter highlighted by our partnership with a facilities management company where together, we are ramping-up their data capability, commencing with building automated forecasting models as they enter a period of high-growth. Another important milestone was our partnership with an innovative leasing company, turning their disparate data into an insights-generating engine with our Data-as-a-Service product. Finally, we have been keeping up-to-speed of advancements in BI tools, specifically looking at how tools like ThoughtSpot are leveraging natural language to drive better user experiences and insights. As always, be it for a quick chat or specific data-related questions, please reach out to us.
Out with the old, and in with the new?
A new financial year means new objectives, new projects, and new budgets. However, one part of the business that rarely gets given new thought to is your data landscape, in particular the need to spend time assessing the quality and quantity of your data that is so imperative to your decision making. For mid-market companies who are competing for market-share like never before, this is an even-more essential task that should be factored into any strategic review, and there is no better time to commence interrogating your data than the new financial year.
Issue #2: July 2024 Newsletter
The last 3 months have flown by, obviously meaning we’ve had fun! It was a quarter highlighted by several projects, including delivering a reporting automation project saving hours of manual work, and delivering phase 1 of a data strategy that has already shown tangible benefits and delivered previously unknown insights to drive decision making. However, this is only the start. We have more projects in the pipeline that we are getting stuck into in Q3 and beyond, helping our partners grow through smarter data and analytics use. As always, reach out to us to start putting your data to work, or even just to have a chat.
Issued #1: April 2024 Newsletter
It is hard to believe that we have been up and running for almost 5 months! In that time, we have been out and about meeting with many people to find out more about how data and analytics is currently being leveraged to drive business outcomes. With what we’ve learnt and delivered thus far, we thought it was a good time to take a quick breather and share with you what has been achieved so far. We have been overwhelmed with the support we have received so far, from friends, family, ex-colleagues, and everyone in between, we cannot thank you all enough for the words of wisdom along the journey thus far.
King of the Codes
How our sporting codes use data to lay claim to the throne
Growing up in Australia, it is almost impossible to not have at least some interest in sport. The warm climate driving our outdoor lifestyle, our competitive nature, all underpinned by strong funding structures (both public and private) and some of the best stadiums and training facilities in the world, you could say that sport is in our DNA. For a country with a tick over 25 million people (putting us around the 50th most populous nation in the world) we certainly punch above our weight on the global stage, regularly finishing in the top 10 on the summer Olympic medal table (we will ignore the colder version of the Olympics for the sake of our argument). This desire to be number one is a trait that runs deep in the Australian mentality. So, it hardly comes as a shock to see the passion and vitriol when the topic of Australia’s biggest sporting code is brought up.
Developing a Data-Driven Culture
At Pentify, we know in the dynamic landscape of today's business environment, data has become crucial for innovation, enhancing decision-making, and driving sustainable growth. As organisations leverage the power of data to gain a competitive advantage, the need for effective data governance becomes increasingly important. This month @ Pentify, we are going to look at how the key to successful data governance lies in the balanced relationship between the right people and the right process, rather than directly on the use of technology.
The Importance of Data Governance 'The Horizon IT Scandal'
In an era where information is power, having the ability to turn data into information as seamlessly as possible has never been more important. It can provide sustained competitive advantage and propel business performance. However, without incorporating a data strategy alongside your broader corporate strategy, you risk causing irreparable damage to you, your company and your customers. This month @ Pentify, we are going back in time to discuss the Horizon IT scandal, and why in our view, much hurt and pain could have been avoided had those in power at Fujitsu (Horizon IT’s parent company) given more thought to data governance at the start of their engagement with the Post Office.
